Jan and Ina from Jamanasin Lodge would like to assist you with an outdoor program during your stay on the Peninsula Osa. They made a list, chosen out many more possibilities, of excursions/hikes. Some of them are with a local guide (English spoken).
National Park Corcovado; according to National Geographic the forest in Corcovado are among the rarest and most biologically diverse on our planet. In this beautiful park you can take multi day hiking trips. Because there is less space at the ranger stations reservation is recommended. In this park there are seen 400 species of birds, 140 species of mammals and 120 species of reptiles and amphibians. There are also 500 species of trees and 6.000 species of insects. Bird watching and observing this beautiful rainforest gives you the opportunity to feel one with nature.
Howler monkey
Golfo Dulce; from the deck of a comfortable boat you can see the dolphins swim. There is also equipment on board to snorkel and see fish with beautiful colours. When you take a kayak you can enjoy the peace of the Golfo Dulce and make a trip on the water for several hours. For the people who like sport fishing (marlins, sailfisch and tuna) there are several boats to join for this adventure.
Beaches; Nearby Jamanasin Lodge are several beautiful beaches where you can go swimming, surfing or just enjoy the sun and the sea.
As your host we hope that the above information will make your stay even more pleasurable and relaxing.
Thank you for your visit with us.
